YOWZAH!
If a picture is worth 1,000 words, I’ll give you plenty to read about …
Today is a
POWDER
DAY
IN
THE
BOAT!
No need to write a long-winded report today, as the photos above tell you everything you need to know. We have received well over a foot of snow in the last 24 hours, and it has continued to snow hard all morning. Plenty of deep snow from the base area up to the summit offering us endless fresh tracks to be found everywhere. Today is easily the deepest day of the season so far, and it just keeps piling up on the mountain. Lots of happy locals out there today enjoying a glorious morning of the good stuff before the holiday crowds arrive this weekend.
The entire mountain is starting to get nice and covered, and now it really feels like winter in Steamboat. There was a bit of wind that came in with the storm last night, so your best bet is to head for the trees, but really everything is skiing absolutely excellent. What a great day to be in Steamboat!
Pick of the mountain today is Closet: It’s deep, fluffy and simply awesome!
I’m headed out for more freshies. Have a great day on the mountain!
