Working Together
The storm rolled in yesterday afternoon and kept going well through the night. Mid-mountain received 5.5″ of the white stuff. It was a good storm that brought wetter snow and wind to help build up a firm base.
With the storm came cold temps that allowed our magical snow making crew to work along with Mother Nature on snow production. The guns were blowing through the night and early this morning as I ran over to the base for a sun filled workout. The snow making crew plays an integral roll in opening the lower mountain and other busy areas of the mountain for Thanksgiving skiing.
Thanksgiving is next week. Hard to believe it, but we’ll be skiing four days from now on the official kick-off to the season, Scholarship Day. This week is the last hustle to get ready for making turns. Gotta get the skis waxed, gloves found, goggles cleaned and legs in shape to start making turns down Mount Werner.
Have a great weekend and fun filled Turkey Day.
