Sunny Day, Storms on the Way!
Over the last few days, we’ve seen our first break in the stormy weather since before the holidays. With another storm moving into the valley today, I decided to take advantage of the sun and warmer temps yesterday by enjoying some afternoon groomers.

Conditions were pretty consistent across the mountain yesterday with some soft snow kicked up on the freshly groomed runs. There were a few spots on lower vagabond that were a bit firm, but still soft enough to carve through. High Noon and the O’clocks were also in great shape with barely any bumps or icy patches.

The blue skies were a nice treat yesterday, but the upcoming storm looks even better. The snow should start later this morning and last until some time on Friday. With forecasts of over 40″ for the top of the mountain, we should be ringing in the new year with some epic conditions. A powerful storm like this moving straight in from the pacific usually means high winds, so make sure to dress warm and watch out for lift closures.
