Summer is flying by and many of us are trying to enjoy as much of Steamboat as we can.
If you are looking for a few ideas for the last few weeks, I’m here to help!

Zirkel Wildnerness:

This is truly one of my favorite places during the summer. If you are looking for a beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountain experience, this is your place. A few key places to visit:

Gilpin Lake

This high alpine lake is a result of all the runoff from the winter snow. It is a beautiful treat after a 3 hour hike. A great place to take a dip and enjoy a picnic lunch.

Micah Lake

Similar to Gilpin, Micah Lake is a nestled between high rocky peaks. One of these peaks is Big Agnes, which offers impressive backcountry skiing long into the summer months.

Steamboat Lake:

Looking for a quick getaway? Steamboat Lake offers a break from the bustle of town. This Colorado State Park offers picturesque spots for swimming and camping. If you are looking to camp, make sure to check on available camp sites as they fill quickly. If you are planning on a day trip, make sure to bring your bathing suit!

Steamboat Ski Area Mountain Biking:

In recent years, the ski area has added more features on the vast array of trails for downhill mountain biking. Try your hand at a few of the moderate to advanced downhill trails. A full-suspension bike helps to make this adventure even better. For those hardcore downhillers, the gondola offers a trip to the top before you whiz your way down the trails.
