  • Hanukkah Celebration: Join Steamboat Mountain CEO Rob Perlman and Rabbi Kolby Morris-Dahary of The Jewish Community of Steamboat in a celebration of the Festival of Light. Whether you are local or visiting, Jewish or not, you are invited to celebrate with us in song, treats, and the ritual of lighting a Hanukkah menorah! Happy Hanukkah from the Jewish Community of Steamboat!
  • Haymaker Sleigh Ride Dinner: Enjoy a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the rolling hills of the Yampa Valley before sitting down to a four-course dinner. Reservations required.

Saturday, December 24: Christmas Eve

Grand Opening of Wild Blue Gondola & Greenhorn Ranch: Join us to celebrate the opening of the new Wild Blue Gondola and Greenhorn Ranch SnowSports School Learning Center. Be one of the first to experience the new ride. The celebration kicks off in the Wild Blue Gondola maze at the base of the resort at 9:00am. This is a momentous occasion for the resort and we are excited to celebrate with you. Immediately following the opening ceremony guests are welcome to ride the new gondola. Complimentary hot chocolate and treats will be available at the mid-station terminal. Resort Leaders will be present for tours and Q&A. Commemorative Wild Blue Gondola sticker patches will be available for those who ride on opening day while supplies last. In the tradition of our pioneering spirit and out of the genuine western heritage of Steamboat, comes an entirely new vision for our resort. Welcome to the new west.

  • Christmas Buffet: The Cabin will host a Christmas buffet from 12:00 – 8:00pm. Located inside The Steamboat Grand hotel.

Tuesday, December 27

Holiday Performance & Petting Zoo: Join us in Steamboat Square for a variety performance with shows starting at 2:00pm and 3:00pm. This variety performer will be providing a Family Fun show including plate spinning, engaging interaction with guests, juggling, magic & other cool surprises! Families can also enjoy a petting zoo from 2:00 – 4:00pm.

Wednesday, December 28

Holiday Performance & Petting Zoo: Take a break from the slopes and stop by the Steamboat Stage for a holiday juggling performance. There will be two shows with each show starting promptly at 2:00pm and 3:00pm. The multi-talented entertainer will feature a variety of skills including balancing, comedy, hacky sack tricks, foot juggling, knife juggling & other fun skills! Families can also enjoy a petting zoo from 2:00 – 4:00pm.

Holiday Magician & Petting Zoo: Join us in Steamboat Square for some holiday magic. Performances will take place promptly at 2:00pm and 3:00pm and will last around 40 minutes. This magician will feature exciting illusions & comedic interaction with guests, leaving the audience saying, “How did he do that?!”. Families can also enjoy a petting zoo from 2:00 – 4:00pm.

Saturday, December 31: New Year’s Eve

  • New Year Eve Fireworks and Light Up Snowcat Parade: Celebrate the new year in style! Kick off the evening with a Light Up Snow Cat parade featuring Steamboat Snow Sports Instructors performing synchronized skiing illuminated only by light of torches. At the conclusion of the parade fireworks will light up the sky over the resort to ring in 2023.
  • New Year’s Eve Dinner at Timber & Torch: Reservations Required. Enjoy New Year’s Eve at Timber & Torch in the heart of Steamboat Square. Each adult entrée will include a complimentary glass of Korbel to ring in the new year. Entertainment from A Touch of remedy from 7-9pm featuring jazz, pop and country favorites.
