Pioneer Trail at Sunset
Mountain Conditions
The Steamboat Bike Park is closed this summer, but U.S. Forest Service trails located on the mountain are open. The Pioneer multi-use trail is 3.55 miles long with an elevation gain of about 1,150 feet. It takes you through large aspen groves and ends at Rainbow Saddle with gorgeous views of the Yampa Valley below. Both the Pioneer and Creekside trails are accessed from near the top of the Zig Zag trail.
