Good morning from a crystal clear, perfect day of skiing in Steamboat.  Not a cloud in the sky, and nothing but sunshine smiling down on the Yampa Valley.  Holiday skier traffic is in full effect and there are lots of people enjoying the beauty of Mt Werner today.  The snow is in perfect condition, and we really couldn’t ask for a better day of skiing.

A very cold start to the morning, but the sun is warming things up quickly.  A great day to grab your sunny lenses and some sunscreen to enjoy a classic Colorado blue bird day on the slopes.  This sunny perfection looks to continue Friday as well!

The snow is absolute stellar mid winter condition.  The blower snow we received yesterday has the groomers in absolute perfect carving condition.  The snow is very soft, allowing edges to carve deep into the manicured lines of corduroy with confidence.  Wow, what a great morning of groomers.  There is still a ton of left over powder in the trees and it is still very fluffy!  The sun will likely affect that today, so don’t miss out on some of that fresh.  The snow is deeper below the 4 Points elevation because of the wind yesterday.  Pony still has so many good turns left!

What a perfect day to be out skiing!  The holiday crowds are strong today, but our mountain is so big you can spread out easily.  Plenty of powder hunting to be done, so get out there for some Champagne Powder turns!  I suggest staying in the 4 Points or Pony area today for the best conditions.

Pick of the mountain today is Sunset: the grooming team did a nice job on it, the snow couldn’t be better and it is skiing fast!

Have a great day on the mountain!
