It may be hard to believe, but closing week of the 2014-15 ski season has arrived.  As the snowy slopes of Mount Werner give way to spring colors and warm weather sports, it is fun to reflect on another great winter in Steamboat.

While some  ski seasons bring more snow than others, something every winter brings is a great time in the mountains of the Yampa Valley.  You never know what kind of weather Mother Nature will deliver each year, but no matter what happens, Steamboat always offers up a ton of fun that leaves us smiling and coming back for more year after year.  Although powder days this season may not have been as plentiful as they usually are around here, we still had some pretty awesome days on the mountain.  Since this is my last report of the season, I wanted to look back on some of the best days of the year at Steamboat Ski Resort.

Soft groomers and sunny skies allowed for some fast turns on the corduroy.

Empty groomers with a few inches of fresh snow on top make for a perfect combo.

New discoveries.

Midwinter storms leave us buttery soft corduroy.

One of our better storms this year giving us over the head conditions.

Early season storm leaving us with powder grins and anticipation for the year ahead.

Sunny groomers were abundant this year and so much fun.

Enjoying a moment of Steamboat vista magic.

Empty groomers and wide-open turns.

My favorite day of the year: Champagne Powder white room!

A huge thank you to everyone that follows the Straight Talk blog. Our team really appreciates every reader, and we hope you had as much fun reading the reports as we have had writing them.

Keep those powder dreams going until next season. Have a great summer everyone!
