Life is Good
Mother Nature hooked up the Yampa Valley with a fresh 2-inch coat of white stuff this morning, making the snow perfect for big-carving turns!
This was the best day of the season for me so far: new terrain opening, new snow, life is good!
Steamboat continues to open new terrain with Four Points opening yesterday. I was anxious to check it out and immediately cruised down to the Four Points lift.
The ride up Four Points was a bit of a teaser as it’s not all open yet but is filling in nicely.

Upper Rainbow trail to White Out was the pick of the morning. Soft groomer turns to warm up the legs followed by the first bumps of the season to remind me I’m still not in ski shape. I’m a creature of habit, and if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, so I lapped that same run five times!

It was snowing on again, off again, with sun peaking through periodically for some warmth.
It’s a great day to get out there and make some turns. I’m suspecting this afternoon will be fantastic, but when isn’t skiing fantastic?
