First Snowfall of the Season
Heavy rain turned into snowflakes on Mount Werner last night, signaling that winter is around the corner. Accumulation was a little less than 2 inches, according to the snow stake. It has me dreaming about another ski season. Time to check your gear and make sure you have your ski pass organized.
For now, the fall colors are beautiful and changing more by the day, and last night was the first that I’ve needed a sweater. Imagine in just two short months, we’ll be riding the sweet brand of powder we call champagne. The resort will open for Scholarship Day on Wednesday, Nov. 22, and then for the regular season Thanksgiving Day.
Let’s hope to be thankful for deep powder! Until then, fall biking, hiking and Oktoberwest swilling are in full swing.
Enjoy the fall!
