Cold Mountain Days
It’s a cold day on the slopes this morning in Steamboat. A brief storm system moved through producing high winds overnight and a dusting on the slopes for this morning. The lines are moving fast and the slopes are wide open with plenty of room for turns. I had many runs to myself this morning with few skiers in sight. Dress warm as the start to the day has been chilly. Sun is expected to shine later in the day and temperatures to warm up slightly.
Currently, the mid-mountain base is 26″ with a temperature of 16°. The summit temperature is cooler at 3° with a base of 38″. Winds are 15-30 mph.
Skiers and riders can enjoy 16 lifts, 163 runs with 2,777 acres of packed powder to turn through. The runs on Pioneer ridge are open for hike-to access.
Have a blast out there today!
