Storms And Snows
It’s another day of snowfall in the ‘Boat. We have received over 14″ inches in the past 48 hours with a heavy forecast on the way. This morning we currently have 3′ of fresh snow so far piling up and it is snowing top-to-bottom. Steamboat is anticipating additional big-storm cycles expected to hit the Valley in the coming two days. Visibility is low on upper mountain terrain this morning, so be prepared for fog and limited sight lines on summit trails and terrain. Visibility is currently clear from mid-mountain all the way down to lower mountain including amid the base area.

Thunderhead lift is currently closed for maintenance with no expected reopening time, so please plan your skiing accordingly. Skier and riders wanting to access to the upper mountain lifts must go the way of the Gondola to access mid mountain and upper trails.

The mid-mountain base is currently 43″ and the temperature is 28°. Summit base is currently 65″ with a temperature of 17° and winds are 8-10 mph from the East. Currently down at the base, the temp is 26°. We are skiing on packed powder condition with moderate snow falling.

Have a great day out on the slopes today!!
